bowles10
.......to the best racing in the world, the jumps season is now here with the first big meeting today & then thick & fast they come with Cheltenham, Sandown, Ascot & Kempton all coming up in the next 2 months with a few other decent ones thrown in for good measure. My favourite race today was seeing Pettifour coming back at Mobaasher in the big hurdle race at Wetherby with a fantastic jump at the last hurdle, Paddy Brennan really pushed that one to the line. The best story of the day would have been a third win in the Charlie Hall for Ollie Magern, it just loves wetherby & led every yard apart from the last 10! How emotional would that have been had Brennan got it over the line. All credit to State of Play, i backed it here last year & it was right back to its best today. Will be great on flat tracks this season if it keeps going the right way. Any other comments?
mowgli77
Re: Welcome back! I've been going to a lot of away games with City this year but might have to miss a few and get to some jumps meetings. I enjoy Wetherby when I go there and have yet to go to Donny for a jumps meeting. Saving some of my annual leave for the obligatory days off for Cheltenham. Started to get a list of horses to follow too. It was a strange old flat season, partly due to the going in the summer so the jumps is a nice change. I was going to cancel Setanta/Racing UK but I don't think I will now, need to start seeing the daily highlights though to keep a track of horses performances. The one i'm interested in watching but not backing is My Way De Solzen, can it recapture that form of old?
