Assuming no collusion, Villain2 knows that there's a very high chance that he'll be called when he goes all-in, and if he let the hand go, there's a pretty good chance that neil_72 will go out before him, not having enough to cover both blinds. So Villain2's post-flop bet suggests he's actually hit the flop. If Villain1 has completely missed the flop, should he call? Certainly he has an enormous chance of cashing whatever he does. But ethically I think he should do whatever increases his own chance of cashing, however small the marginal percentages are. Is it clear that calling increases his own chances? It's not that unlikely that neil_72 survives another round, in which case Villain2 would be completely crippled if he gave up both his blinds. And for Villain1 to shove, he's relying on the next two players to fold. Which they should do, but he doesn't necessarily know that they're going to. I think it's very unclear how a big stack should play against a short stack on the bubble (except that it's clear that it doesn't matter very much to the big stack). And if I find it confusing, I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that somebody who does something that looks a bit odd is necessarily cheating. Though of course he might be. But if you'd been sat at the table it was very surprising to see the big stack fold. At such a crucial stage even the initial call was a bit peculiar...a single raise putting pressure on the small stacked BB would have been the expected play...unless the intention even at that stage was to pass over a few chips if I folded. I'd love to see what the folder held. Anyway I'll leave it at that...but I'll be watching for these two in the future...although I don't think there was any collusion...but sure it was soft playing. He is in the BB but has no need at all to get involved. No way. Even if you have a random hand, he's less than 65% to win the hand, and even if he hadn't already put in 300 chips (which I don't see the point of, either), he has a far greater than 65% chance of cashing if he folds. And you're hardly likely to be playing like this with a random hand. If he'd shoved originally, that wouldn't have been terrible, though I don't think it's right from UTG with those stack sizes. I simply can't see what he was hoping to hit or represent throughout the hand and once ludvo has put 2/3 of his chip stack in after the turn you know he isn't going to fold to the raise.
