"Guaranteed at $1000 with a further $500 added" read to me that it would be at least $1500. Tonight's was $1060, which was the 56 entrants x $10, plus $500 (thus exceeding the $1000 guarantee). I suppose if there were fewer than 50 entrants it would be +$500 then the guarantee puts it up to $1000. That's not how I interpret a further $500.
