I have been asked by my Fiancees father to look into turning a site in Hayes London into a Betting Shop. Would it be better to be part of a franchise or your own private Bookmakers?? Any views would be very grateful.

Re: can anyone help?????????? i looked into a bit a few years back & we were going to make money off the back of the FOBT's (fixed odds betting terminals - roulette machines etc). However, the more i looked into it, the more sceptical i became. I also know a few who have tried it against the big boys & you cannot compete i am afraid. Shops are dying on their feet & its such a bad time to open a betting shop (recession etc). Hayes is not a big betting community from my knowledge with so many different nationalities down there, there can't be many true punters that you can benefit from. I wish you luck but dont go jumping in, try & get some advice or figures from some independents before you decide.
