3.40 Veracity was always going to have a difficult task on his hands LTO at Chester when, after returning from a break of almost a year, he finished 5th when sent off the 11/4 fav. He was entitled to need that run though and based upon his form last year he will be hard to beat here. He put in two decent efforts when 2nd in two Group 2's (behind Mahler and then Allegretto) and then finished a respectable 5th in last years St Leger (behind Lucarno, Mahler, Honolulu and Regal Flush) before being put away for the year. That form ranks high above the rest of the rivals here and he is rated at least 16 lbs higher than anything else in the field. 5/2.

Re: Pontefract 6/10/08 3.40 Let it Be Was bidding for a fifth consecutive win LTO of a career high mark came 4th, comes back down in the weights for this step up in class today, course winner and has gone the 2m, ground shouldn't be a problem but first time at this class. so i think e/w would be the safest option. 20/1 e/w Bluesq
