Re: Rugby League: Super League Final Eliminator & NL Grand Finals I'm on Wigan outright so I was in two minds whether to be tonight but I can't pass up the 11/4. 10pts Wigan to beat Leeds 11/4 Ladbrokes This looks a massive price on a Wigan side who come into this match full of confidence. Sure people will say Leeds battered Wigan last month and they'd be right but there was no Pat Richards, Gareth Hock or Phil Bailey that night and Trent Barrett wasn't fully fit. Wigan were also coming into the game having played almost 50 minutes with 12 men the week before. They have no such problems tonight. Barrett has looked back to his best in these playoffs so far, Micky Higham and Thomas Leuluai have been dynamite at hooker and Gareth Hock off the bench has changed both matches in the playoffs. Pat Richards is a key man for the Warriors as well but the key thing for me is how Wigan have defended recently. Not just against Bradford and Catalans but also against a previously rampant Saints on the last night of the regular season. Wigan are defending with confidence and with an air of a side who think they are Old Trafford bound. Leeds have been up and down for most of the season. They looked unbeatable for the 1st 10-12 weeks of the season but since then they've looked flat and at times they've looked average. Danny McGuire admitted they were abysmal last week and they really were. Brent Webb went off last week looking like he could be in trouble for tonight and although he's down to play, the rumour mill says he isn't 100% fit. That's a key thing for the Rhinos because he is excellent in defence and attack. Kevin Sinfield was also a doubt coming in this week but he's due to play too. Apart from that match last month, Wigan have pretty much had the better of Leeds in recent times. Their coach Brian Noble has had the Indian sign over Leeds for a while now and knows how to beat them. These two met in this match at Headingley last year when Leeds won 36-6. Leeds had the incentive last season though in that they were playing to "win the title for Tony Smith". Wigan are trying to do that this year for Trent Barrett. Wigan had also gone through two physically gruelling matches prior to that game while this season they've had nothing like as absorbing a couple of matches leading up to this game. Sides don't usually make Old Trafford from outside the top two but with that week off for the Challenge Cup final the demands on teams outside the top two haven't been as challenging this season and I think Wigan can take advantage of that and win here. You can play safe and take Wigan with a 10 start but I'm happy enough to go with the straight win at a big 11/4.
