before i start i would like to thank DE HANNANAH and his lucky 7,10 system for the birth of this system. i have been following DE HANNANAH'S system since i joined the punters lounge. from this interest came the idea of the following system which i am going to test. i don't know if its an original or not but i haven't seen it before. here goes then - it will probably go arse up but what the heck. we will call it the SIXTENFOURTEEN because it will consist of 3 accumalators (6),(10),(14) i am only looking at the top 2 teams in each countries premier leagues. 1> work through each league and give the top 2 and their opponents a number which is their present league position. eg liverpool (2) v sunderland (17) 1a> only use mature leagues eg.at least 8 games played to allow for shock early season results. 1b> teams with games in hand who could go top 2 then also give them a ranking. 1c> the French league will not be included because of their inconsistency. 2>when you get these figures put them in 2 columns one consisting of teams that are in top 2 in their league and playing at home. in the other put the ones playing away. 3>then deduct the low figure from the high one in each game to give the team that is in top 2 a rating. eg liverpool (15) 17-2=15 the higher the figure the lower the risk in theory. 3a> apply the adjustment formula to compensate for different sized leagues. 3b> european competition - teams who have played in europe in midweek will be looked at regarding the result,opponents and travelling. I will use my gut feeling as to whether to include them or not. If i am not happy about my final selection then i will not bet that weekend. 3c> injuries, suspensions, local derby's, and any teams on a roll formwise will be looked at and i will apply my gut feeling about whether to include them or not. 4> accumalator (6) the object of this is to recover your stake hopefully and consists of the safest bankers. only home selections are put in here. pick the six highest rated home teams from your list. 5> accumalator (10) now we are looking to start and win money . include all your selections from acc.(6) and add the 4 highest rated AWAY selections. 6> accumalator (14) as above include all selections from your acc.(6) and (10) adding the next 4 highest rated AWAY selections. i have been playing around with £1 accumalators (14) and have been quite lucky if you loose it will hardly break the bank. 7> staking plan until i know how successful this system turns out to be i am going to keep the stakes small. but if it comes off it still produces a good return. on the acc(6) i will stake £3 on the acc(10) i will stake £2 on the acc(14) i will stake £1 total outlay per week = £6 i will start with a bank of £60 which will give me 10 weeks consecutive loosing bets. 8> i will only use the system each weekend not for midweek matches or european competitions. and not for home cup competitions. Re: SIXTENFOURTEEN well, i wish you luck ralphie BUT if it were as simple as that then we'd all be doing it! liverpool spring to mind! the thing with league position is that it does not give a fair representation of how a team is really playing - what if the team has 2 or 3 games in hand? what if the team play awful at home but are sh1t hot away? what if the main (only goalscorer) is suspended or injured or on international duty or cup-tied for a particular match? what if it is a local derby? what if the away team have hit a good run of form of late? hate to to be so negative and i'm sure in some (maybe quite a few) games the theory will hold true - especially if you look at leagues where a couple of teams head the league and are truely above the pack - basel in switzerland | brugge in belgium | austria vienna in austria all spring to mind - however, in many of the more 'major' leagues a simple deduction of league position cannot justify a selection. PLUS how do you go about ranking teams from leagues of 20 teams to teams from leagues of 10 teams? it is also it has been noted that top V bottom games can throw up all sorts of unexpected results! the underdog factor maybe? also, these are probably going to be selections at the lowest odds going and really not very good value in the long run! these are just my opinions and if you choose to run with it i wish you well, however, i woudl suggest you watch out for 'hot' teams in certain leagues and if you must do 6+ accys then base them on a little research and knowledge! all the best
