Newmarket 3.15 Couple I like for this fillies handicap over 12f (class 3). Henry Cecil's Monbretia heads the market at 7/2 and its easy to see why. Her 4th in a Yarmouth maiden looks decent form with Inchwood (who reopposes here) comfortably 3 length behind. The 3rd won a maiden NTO and the winner went on to pick up a listed and then group race subsequently. NTO at Newbury she was just over a length off Clowance and came 2nd. The winner won a listed race NTO, and the 3rd and 4th have done so since too. The 5th won a maiden NTO too. She won LTO at Nott when she was walloped in the face by the whip of another jockey and the 2nd has since won a handicap, albeit off 79, to give the form a boost. ------ The second one I like in this race at a much bigger price is Storyland. William Haggas' filly won on her handicap debut at Doncaster beating Talk of Saafend by three quarters of a length. That rival was rated 80 and although has been campaigned in claimers of late, has at least been getting the job done at that level. Sam's Secret was back in third and seems a genuine late 70's horse. Storyland is rated 76 for this. On her next run she finished 3rd at Salisbury in a blanket finish behind My Aunt Fanny and Casilda. Casilda was rated 77 and has held her form well since with a short head defeat off 80 when last seen whilst My Aunt Fanny was rated 76 in that aforementioned race and boosted the form subsequently with two off 79 (one maiden, one handicap). The 4th La Columbina has just won two claimers in quick succession, the 5th just won a handicap off 79 and the 6th won a handicap off 73 LTO too - so that looks very strong form indeed. She was well beaten LTO at Sandown but was short of room 1f out. She's stepped up to one and a half miles here and is not certain to get it on breeding, hence the large price at 11/1. Will still have a dabble though.

Re: Newmarket 20/9/08 3.50 Electrolyser could be worth a dabble here at 8/1. Fair enough he's got a massive absence to overcome, but should have strong claims if fit and well. On his debut was 2nd to Pacificism who has done little since, but he pulled 7 lengths clear of Mark Johnston's Always Bold who picked up two handicaps off 79 and 83 earlier this season. the 4th won a handicap off 70 since, and the 5th completed a handicap hat-trick in April with the last win coming off 81. Bearing in mind the distance Electrolyser pulled clear that day, maybe he has claims off 87 here. He won a maiden at Lingfield when last seen, getting his job done, and the 2nd won a maiden NTO. Grand Annee is understandly the fav and bids for the 4 timer and holds an entry for the Cambirdgeshire, but I will take a chance on this fellow at 8/1.
