7.20 It's been a while since there has been a decent A/W claimer - the summer isn't the best time for these races but they will be paying the bills over the winter and hopefully I'll get the winner in this one too. There are three that have chances at the weights, Harry Up, Mutamared, and Desperate Dan. Although Desperate Dan comes into at the weights due to his rider's claim, I'm not convinced the kid is value for his 7lb claim and due to Desperate Dan's quirks I'm scrubbing him and leaving it to the Ryan pair Harry Up and Mutamared. Mutamared is out of form (so hard to tell if he is true to his mark) but has been contesting in decent handicaps, you wouldn't have to look far to find some very useful form (5th in last season's Abnernant Stakes) and has a decent A/W record in the UK (11370). Harry Up on the other hand has been in pretty decent form so we know he is running to his rating. Winning a dirt handicap off 79 in the spring before some decent effort in claimers - somehow caught by Guest Connections (useful at the level) in a claimer three tuns ago. However it's his run LTO that proves his well being. Took a decent field along before getting collared only by the really useful Cheveton off a mark of 82. The run showed his likeness for the polytrack and his career form on it reads 17178119325227112. 17 starts 6 wins 5 places His consistency on the dirt and running style (likely to blast off from a low draw) should give an opportunity to get out in running at a much shorter price and for tha reason he gets the nod.
