The fact that a few prices seem to be profitable after this sample of games provides no guarantee that these prices will continue to be profitable. All it tell me is that in the main B&W are very good at setting prices and collecting their overround (like most bookies are of course ;) ) The benefit of these stats, I guess, is that it should prove to the average Joe punter that it's no easy task to beat the bookmaker. Even the "professionals" find it difficult - only 3 out of 17 services I proof as of last night were in profit from beginning of August, and yet we continually see punter after punter and tipster after tipster rant on about how wonderful ther tips are. Anyway, good work Gilward. :)

I know that there is no guarantee. I will update the statistics from time to time so that we can all see how the things develop.

As you can see, some home win odds seem to be very bad for home wins: 1.35 1.40 1.45 I never trusted these odds anyway. ;) But they are quite good for away wins. I wonder if this will continue. 1.50 and 1.65 home win odds seem to be quite good for home wins. 3.75 away win odds seem to be good for away wins. I know that things may change in the future. Let's see.

Re: Some statistics . . . Hello Gilward, really interesting post.I did something similar a couple of seasons ago. IIRC the biggest difference between bookies odds & actual odds occured from a shade of odds on to around 8/13 for home wins. For example home 4/5 shots(55.6%) only won around 48% of the time.It highlighted for me that,not only are popular odds on prices the place where the bookies put most overround,but also that the converse away price,3/1 in this case is a likely source of value bets. It'd be worth knowing if the situation's still the same now that singles are almost universal. I 'd guess that your figures will start to settle down as you get larger sample sizes for each price band. Weststander.
