Jezza
I would add this (I think logically decisive and final) point to the debate.. Given a finite bankroll, Martingale will be wiped out at some point in the future, be it now or in far away times to come. This is accepted Ahhh yes replys the argument, but Martingale with an infinite bankroll can beat anything....its a born winner Well hang on a minute, if you are starting at 1 unit and doubling up every time till you win....the net result is +1 unit to your bankroll. You have an infinite bankroll.....infinity+1=infinity.....THE BANKROLL HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED. So Martingale is only a road to total ruin or a curious argument for mathematics professors to debate Jez
Guest mat5tan
Martingale A friend of mine tried the martingale system betting on the 1-1 draw on all live premiership games. He ignored my advice and said that his system would beat the bookies. It did for a season and a half then he hit a losing streak and lost over a grand.......................................ouch
