2.50 Chester 12 runners lining up for this Listed handicap over 1m6f. 11/2 the field so a very open heat and I'm with one in cracking form in: Sir Duke (11/1 Ladbrokes) - Has continued to improve all year and faces a big step up in both trip and mark but deserves to take its chance here. Record this year reads 1-3-1-1-2-1-2-1. Raised 35lbs+ this terms but I still think it has a solid chance. Good draw for this track and can get a good early position. Will settle in just behind the leaders and should make its challenge 2f from home. Chester usually proves to be a leveller so the classier types may struggle on this tight track. For that reason, I'd prefer a horse in form, who knows how to win. Tough task but certain to run its race so EW bet at 11's is advised.
