Fluence Posted August 30, 2008 Share Posted August 30, 2008 Close but no real cigar! I finished 7th for £331 in the £150 FO at the Broadway on Thursday 28th. I won a seat in the £15 satellite on Monday. See results at, http://www.aworldofpoker.com/casino.php?location=4&town=11&casino=34 Then finished 8th at DTD in the £75 FO tonight (last night?) http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/resultplayers.php?id=372 I suffered a shocker on Thursday after raising with AQ the villian re-raised all-in with AJ. I tanked for a while and then correctly figured he was trying to push me of it, only for him the river the J. I muffed someone good and proper when short stacked at DTD at about level 3, trying some mad re-steal with junk. (I'd earlier had set under set to lose most of my chips) On the flop when the cards were on their backs I didn't think I could win. Though someone helpfully pointed out that I could win if the turn and river came 8,9 to give me the str8. The dealer then, even more helpfully, obliged. Though that good fortune came back to haunt me when I got donked out of the FT. All in with 9,9 v A9. Flop 10,J,Q. Turn x River K.
