Reasoning	African Skies looks a very good horse, When she ran back at Ascot in June Ryan said that he really likes this horse, It was fourth that day, Went back to Ascot the month after and won a group 3 in good fashion. The trip and the ground today is the same when African Skies won last time out and for me she seems to tick all the boxes. I think there is a few in with a shout but I will give the nod to African Skies.

Re: Newmarket 23/8 3.05 Battle Paint has the potential to be running in better races that this. John Gosden's colt was unraced last season but in 2006 finished 2nd in a Group 2 at Longchamp behind Holy Roman Emperor. On his reappearance this season for his new yard he blew away a few cobwebs with a one length victory from Pawan and with the highly fancied Tajdeef back in 3rd in a conditions race. He runs off the same mark of 108 again today. 8/1 VC Bet
