PL wins at poker

Years ago I had ambitions to be a pro poker player. I wasn't good enough but I never lost big money, just a constant drain of £100/£200 every month. The biggest problem was boredom. I play Texas Hold'em where the number 1 rule is "hold high cards". Twenty hands can go by where you are holding 10-4 or 7-4 or 6-3 and the temptation becomes greater as the night goes on to play these hands, just for fun. So a 6-3 might turn into a 6-6-3-3- and you play but are beaten by a 2-2-2. It happens all the time. So you dwindle your stake away ever so gradually. Now I play online on the Laddies site, with PL open in the background. Magic! I don't get bored and can pass on 20 bad hands in a row coz I'm reading PL posts. Up $100 this evening - long may it last.

Re: PL wins at poker Danno I have played many times in 'real' comps - never on line. You can't 'read' a man online. I have played all over the UK - mainly the midlands. The Uk Champs is up soon at the Rainbow Casino (I am a member) just off the Hagley Rd in Birmingham. I will enter this year I think. :rolleyes
