fintron Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 4.10 Two I like the look of here. Mandurah ran a decent third at Goodwood the other day. He finished 3rd to Total Impact, even though he was rated 12 lbs inferior to that rival. Dandy Nicholls' runner also had the 85-rated Tom's Laughter behind in 4th, so the form of that race looks very good. He drops in class here (cls 3 to cls 5), and runs off 71 again, to suggest he won't have to find much improvement to take this. Prior to Goodwood he had also won over this trip at Haydock, although he didn't seem to beat much. He goes on the ground but the draw isn't great 8/1. The other one I fancy is much better drawn, King's College Boy. Won a couple of handicaps in June off 55 but has continued to run reasonably well when upped to 61 and 65 since, including a narrow defeat at Hamilton in a class 4 handicap off 61. In only one of his last three runs he has had a claimer on board and in all fairness, McHugh, isn't as strong as todays jockey, Fredi Tylicki. With Tylicki's 7 lb claim this one is effectively racing off just a 2 lb higher mark than his last win, and after coming close off 61 in a better race than this he must have strong claims for Richard Fahey. 9/1.
