6.15 We start with a Ladies race but we have the usual suspects involved. Emperor Well will be popular, and rightly so, has been running well of late and has the blinkers back on here. His best form is when wearing the blinds. Has been in the first 6 home 14 times from 20 mile starts with blinkers on. The other Easterby runner Uhuru Peak has dropped to a fair mark and will also be popular under Serena Brotherton. Emirate Isle has gone close off slightly higher marks and suggests a race like this is within his capabilities. Well handicapped on most maiden form and is overpriced. March Mate was given no chance LTO as the hood was taken off very late and he lost all chance. He actually did well to get within 14l of the winner. Had previously looked a certain future winner and I think he will find a race before too long. The cheekpieces will help and I think he has the potential to be better than all of his rivals.
