bigstumur Posted July 23, 2008 Share Posted July 23, 2008 Russian Open Hard one to call this week,last years winner won the event from an invite "Per Ulrik johannsen" so I find it hard to make a solid case for a Favourite.However Robert Dinwiddie has showed in the last few months he has the game to win and it might be coming shortly.He was T6th at Loch Lomond a fortnight ago and prior to that he was Tied 36th at the US OPEN! OK so big deal,but when you delve into the player stats on the Europeantour he looks a stand out compared to some of the rest.he is currently trading @ 25/1 with Betfair! The others I am sweet on are Rafa Echenique@37/1 @ Betfair. Also Fernandez Castano Fernandez@ 49/1@Betfair who is having a torrid time,but former winner of Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the year,and also 2 tournament wins to his name suggests he is a far better player than his season suggests! The big worry but is his Tee shots they can be wayward so maybe best watched until Day 1 is in progress!
