Three big fat ones e/w for me at Redcar today. 2.50 FARNE ISLAND 50/1 Has dropped a fair bit in the weights. 3.50 NABIR 28/1 Dual purpose horse has had a few placed efforts on the flat this year. 4.50 KAYMICH PEREFECTO Looks very overpriced at 66's goes well here and gets on well with Jock.

Re: REDCAR~Sunday 20/7/08 2.50 Redcar - Libre (10/1) - won last time out at Chepstow in a class 5 race and drops in grade here. Up 4 lbs in the handicap and is now rated 59 but beat rivals rated in the early 60's in that race and so there may be more to come. Will go on the ground and has won for the jockey before. 3.50 Redcar - Little Jimbob (2/1 nap) - been in rampant mood of late, scoring in two claimers in his last two runs and runs off same mark as from Hamilton win here. Will go on the ground and has to be respected in this type of race given his recent form. 4.20 Redcar - Pacific Pride (18/1) - ran in a Group 2 as a juvenile and although his win rate is poor, he has run in much better races than this. A Win at Ripon in May when rated 77 suggests that he could strike of his current mark of 78 and his recent runs, when unplaced, have come in better class races than this. The form of his Ripon win was okay really, as he had the Nicholls horse Obe Gold behind, and that rival won next time out at Haydock off 83 and is now rated 92. Not the most reliable horse by any means, but prepared to take a chance he can strike off a winnable mark. 4.50 Redcar - It's a Dream (2/1 nb) - bids for the hat-trick here and the form of his two 2nds in last two runs has worked out very well. Finished a nk behind Paraguay (rated 71 then) at Doncaster two runs ago and that rival ran a decent race off 73 next time out. Then finished a head behind El Dececy at Nottingham and that rival won off 80 next time out. It's a Dream thus appears to have decent claims running off 68 here and he'll go on the ground. 5.20 Redcar - Abstract Folly (9/2) - dual course and distance winner who won here last time out off a 3 lb lower mark. Yet to win off anything above 65 but he ran respectably off 67 last year in better races than this so may still be able to strike. Proven stayer who will have no problems with the ground.
