Just Lille – finished a close second (btn 0.5 l) over a mile LTO at Haydock but prior to that had won over this trip in a class 4 handicap at Beverley (was rated 84). The form of that Bev race has been boosted since with 3^rd (Little Jimbob) winning his next two (albeit in lesser company than this). Just Lille is up to a career high mark here (90) but she is fresh from that outing 16 days ago, has won for Royston Ffrench before and has form on both Gd/Sft and Gd/Frm ground.

Newbury 5.00

Alnwick was upped to class 4 LTO at Sandown and although finished 4/7 was only beaten by just over a length. He’s eased 1 lb in the handicap here and should see out the trip as a comfortable 3 length win over two miles at Kempton proved earlier in the year. He has recent winning form on the turf though too, scoring off 66 two runs ago at <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Warwick and finishing 2.5 lengths clear of the fav, Plane Painter. He’s gone well for Dane O’Neill of late so hoping they can continue to go well here.

Re: Newbury Saturday 19/7/08 2.20 FINAL VERSE 100/1 E/W Paddy Power Outsider of the pack who's need to show a bit of old form to get competitive in this but the drop back to 6f may help show a bit of old spark where he has a C4 maiden win and 2nd in a C2 and also won a listed race at a mile. Worth a few bob e/w i havn't put this 100/1 shot up just for the sake of it and i really don't see it finishing last! 3.25 REBECCA DE WINTER 20/1 E/W Hannon loves this race and has six entered for it including the fav but i give this one a squeak e/w.
