Haydock 3.50 Put this one up in the BBOTD thread an hour ago, since then its been backed in and you can't get 11/8 anymore. Will probably be sent off odds on you would imagine

Yahwudhee - form of Newbury maiden in which he finished 4th was been rubber stamped many times over, including yesterday at York when Amber Queen ran out the most impressive winner of the day at York. Peter Chappel-Hyam's colt has already built on his debut promise with a win at Leicester. He drops back in trip here and tackles heavy ground but he should be suited to the trip on breeding and sire Zamindar did won on soft ground on his debut. 11/8.
Haydock 3.20 Geojimali - fit for a recent run at Newcastle 15 days ago when it won a class 2 handicap off 80. The useful Damika and Rising Shadow were two of those he had behind. Put up 4 lbs here but drops down to class 4 level so must be better than its 7/1 price suggests. Has won on Gd/Sft, Sft, and although never raced on heavy may be OK given those past wins. Proven over the trip.

Re: Haydock Sun 13/7/08 Yeh the 3:20 is a really interesting race. Bonnie Prince Blue can be ruled out I think, despite her winning 4 of 8 over 6f. She has raced 4 times on soft and heavy and hasn't been placed once. Dickie Le Davoir has won 2 of 25 with 10 placings over 6f with 1 win from 3 on heavy ground and is 1 from 1 at Haydock. However, this horse raced last night on testing ground and I would be amazed if it had the energy to win on this ground after racing yesterday. Topflightcoolracer has never raced on soft or heavy and has been placed once from 3 over 6f. She's hard to fancy unless she really takes to the ground. Bel Cantor has won 3 from 28 over 6f with one win on heavy. Does enjoy the softer stuff, but once again raced on heavy yesterday at York and for that reason....very hard to fancy. Makshoof is an interesting one. Won 3 of 9 over 6f, each of which at Haydock, one of which on heavy ground. Clearly a course specialist and highly fancied again. 100% record at Haydock. Tudor Prince has placed once from 2 starts at Haydock, won 2 from 12 over this distance and placed once from 2 starts on heavy, but he was 8l adrift. Pretty hard to fancy again. Rabbit Fighter is very much an AW track horse. Unplaced in two runs on heavy and unplaced in sole run at Haydock. Has won 3 from 7 over 6f, but all on AW and hard to fancy on turf. Balakiref has won 7 of 55 over 6f, 2 wins from 6 at Haydock, 2 from 7 on heavy (placed 5 times). Underperformed once too often for my liking this season. So, scratched off my list. Steel Blue - Prefers good ground, placed twice from 8 at Haydock and won 6 of 62 over 6f and placed once from 3 on heavy. However, was 1 1/2l ahead of Balakiref at Newcastle on soft ground in late June. So...for this horse to be 11/1 and Balakiref to be 4/1 is a tad strange. Still this horse has place chances if in his best form. But for me Geojamali gets the nod. Showed last time out he can handle soft ground with a dogged display. Overpriced at 17/2 now with Sporting Bet. Maybe even a double with Makshoof or a tricast with Steel Blue.
