Wolverhampton Racecourse was the first floodlit racelit racecourse in Britain and provides both evening and afternoon flat horseracing on the latest Polytrack race surface. You can even make a night of it if you dine in the Ringside Restaurant, when Saturday evening racing is followed by dancing until midnight to live bands or discos. There is a Holiday Inn hotel on site - but book early to avoid disappointment. Todays fixtures in here.:ok

Prices quoted are those current on Betfair 3.00 - Monte Major (1.88)/Night Prospector (1.99) MM has notched up 4/5 career wins here and has been running well in handicap company. Faces lesser opposition here for this seller. NP contested a listed race and a Group 3 in his heyday many years ago but ran well on his last appearance here to suggest he can still be a danger in this type of company at present. 4.00 - Kingsmaite (2.72) Backed this one when it won handsomely at Southwell earlier in the year, but it has also shown an ability to go well on polytrack too, finishing second (beaten by less than a length on each occassion) on last two tries over CD. 5.00 - Kansas Gold (4.6)/Wogan's Sister (3.4) KG scored twice over CD last season and has dropped below his last winning mark. Has also gone well for jockey in the past. WS is lighly raced and could have more to offer. Mixed messages have come out of the handicap she won here in March. Second, the fav, Si Belle has gone on to win twice subsequently. 4th has also won since, although the win was sandwiched inbetween some disappointing efforts. The others in and around the places that day haven't ripped up any trees afterwards.
