Appalachian Trail may have scored LTO in a group 3 had he had a clear run at the end, staying on remarkably well to get within 0.61 lengths of Major Cadeaux at Haydock (finished 3^rd). Prior to that he had scored in a listed race at the same course to show he still retains wining ability since switching yards, and both of his last two runs when he has fared respectably have been with Ferghal Lynch in the saddle.
