Great Leighs 26/06

Recommended Posts

Great Leighs is Britain’s first new track since 1927. In our opening season, the two-storey grandstand will be the place to be in Essex, with bars and eateries open until late after racing, and with concerts planned. It will be operational on many other days for other events, such as live broadcasting of racing elsewhere, and of other major sports. High Definition pictures will enhance the viewing experience. You will not need to leave Essex to enjoy Euro 2008! Construction begins on the second-stage grandstand next year, which eventually will be open every day for fine-dining, business to business and conferencing use. When our racehorse training facility is operational this futuristic stand will provide a luxurious vantage point for owners and guests who have come to watch their horses training on the track. Todays fixtures in here.:ok

Re: Great Leighs 26/06 2.10 Sir Geoffrey has come closest to scoring of any of these and has previous experience of the Great Leighs track. 6/4 3.10 An alternative to the forecast fav here could be Imprimis Tagula, who has ran well on artificial surfaces before and the form of his last outing at Newmarket reads well - he was 3rd behind subsequent Group 1 winner Sakhee's secret and Aahayson, who won a listed race recently. Up to a carrer high mark but still lightly raced and there could be more to come. E/W. 14/1 4.10 Sir Michael Stoute sends only his second ever runner to the essex course for this in the shape of Almajd. He scored on his debut in a Newmarket maiden but failed to justify favouritism on his second career run when 5th at Newbury in a Group 3 race (however, some pretty useful horses in Beacon Lodge, Stimulation, Iguazu Falls and Brave Propspector were infront of him that day and four of those have gone on to win since). The danger could be Dauberval who is proven over a mile and ran well in a Goodwood listed contest LTO. 4/5 5.10 Curzon Prince had every chance 1f on his last run here but Alan Munro dropped his whip inside the final furlong and he ended up finishing a 0.88 l 4th with the progressive and hat-trick chasing Art Man the eventual winner. He runs off the same mark here in what is a repeat run over CD with Munro again in the saddle. 14/1 EW
