Off to Redcar tomorrow so had an early look at the card. Not great it must be said but I've had a crack.... 2.25 Two that make appeal on breeding are Yorgunnabelucky and King's Counsel who are both sired by Group winners. Hel's Angel was third on its debut behind recent Ascot winner South Central, although the actual distance was a massive 13 lengths. 3.00 Webbow was a progressive handicapper last year and makes his reappearance here off a 6 lb higher mark as he tackles a class 2 race for the first time. However, in only a small field, two others could have claims. Billy Dane had every chance of going on to score LTO until it weakened over the final furlong and the RP note that he may benefit from dropping back to a mile. Just Bond ran a good race LTO and the RP say he is good nick. He had the beating of Billy Dane during their last encounter and races off a much lower turf mark than his AW rating. 3.40 Silver Seeker scored over course and distance recently but failed to follow up under a double penalty at Musselburgh, latest. He is proven on the ground. Stoop to Conquer drops in grade so may be a danger and he won off a much higher mark, 77, two years ago. Hi Dancer was beaten by Silver Seeker LTO but is better weighted for tomorrow. 4.10 Filligree bidsfor the hat trick after a couple of wins this month and is up 8 lbs in the handicap from its last win. However, after a 6 length win LTO, there may be more to come. The RP commented that Legendary Guest may be able to defy the handicapper following a recent run at Hamilton and it did win at Southwell on the AW in April so may be one to back each way. Strawberry Moon has run credibly on all three starts and makes its handicap debut here. Moonage Daydream won here over CD two runs and wasn't disgraced LTO when racing under a penalty when it may not have been helped by the draw. 4.45 Swinbrook has been running well in handicap so must have claims in this type of company. Angaric also ran well LTO in a class 3 handicap so takes a massive drop in class here, however, it hasn't won for two years now. Royal Dignitary was second in a claimer at Musselburgh latest but the presence of a claimer in the saddle tomorrow means he carries slightly less for this run and the drop in trip may help. 5.20 Alsadeek was unlucky in running LTO and the RP commented that it could easily have won if the gaps had appeared. Trainer Dunlop has an excellent strike rate at the course - 29.6 %. Stoute sends one north for this, Muftarres, and also has a impressive strike rate (27 %) from fewer runners. However, it failed to land a blow on its debut. Safaseef showed promise on its debut run to finish a 1 length second after making amends for a slow start. 5.50 Kyzer Chief seems more consistent than some of these and has a claimer on board here after a narrow defeat LTO. Handsinthemist is a CD winner but RP comment that he is hard to win with and on his last run they said he may need an extra furlong. Orange Square has ran respectably on the AW and won over this trip, and runs off a lower turf mark tomorrow. Red River Boy won at Carlisle off 50 in a class 6 handicap over 5f for this jockey LTO.
