Haradasun proved that he's a good horse putting in a hard fought workmanlike performance but the most memorable thing of the race was the awful ride giving by Spencer on Cesare. It could be argued that the gaps just didn't come but that's no excuse. Henry the Navigator proved that he is undoubtebly a very classy horse and Raven's Pass showed that on fast ground he is a horse to be reckoned with and will go to win a Group 1 of this calibre. I hadn't seen Art Connossieur previously and what a turn of speed he's got. Couldn't believe how much muscle the horse had when I looked at him in the parade ring. Built like an out and out sprinter and if gets a mile could be very good indeed but I have my doubts.

Re: Royal Ascot Day 1 Summary. (Your Views) Art Connossieur by far the most impressive winner today in my opinion (I backed it :)). I done a bit of dough on Fleeting Spirit though, which ran a decent enough race but just wasnt good enough on the day. HTN won as he should have. The last race? A 100/1 winner, luck I never had a bet.
