Ascot's Obsession With Jockeys

What is it with Ascot and jockeys? This new yellow armband thing for the leading jockey - why? The Shergar Cup, a competition between jockeys. If the Shergar Cup is ever going to work it would be a battle between country's horses, NOT jockeys. Why do they think the game is all about jocks? It isn't, it's about horses. Only once a year non-punters think the game is about jockeys.
