Ascot 3.05 Kings stand stakes (5f) Dandy Man has finished 4th & 2nd in this race before & surely would have been crowned the winner last season as poorly drawn in stall 1, raced alone up the nearside rail before drfiting into the middle & finishing under 2L behind winner Miss Andretti. Drawn 15 this year the horse has a chance to make amends & if running up to last years form can figure in the 1-2-3. Last year's best 2yo sprinters Kingsgate Native & Fleeting Spirit face each other & the prix d'abbaye winner Kingsgate Native is nearly 4 times the price of Fleeting spirit due to the lack of a run. Fleeting spirit broke the course record at Haydock last time but this is a stronger race. I am going to stick with the course form with Dandy Man & back it each way. 5pts EW Dandy Man @ 10/1 Paddy Power

Re: Best bet of the day Tues 17/06 Finsceal Beo (2.30 Ascot) Just inches away from landing an un-precidented 'tripple-crown' of 1000 guineas races last year, winning the English and Irish versions and beaten by a head in the French equivelant. The going was blamed for her defreat in France but I think it was as much to do with how the race was run and the fact that the French guineas took place just seven days after the English guineas. It was asking a lot for the filly to attempt so much so early in her career and not supprisingly her form tailed off later in the year, not helped by racing on un-suitably soft ground several times. She seems to have been brought along more slowly this year putting up a credable perfomance in Dubai on her seasonal bow before running a fine race last time out when finishing second over a trip that would have stretched her stamina. Should be cherry-ripe now and has conditions to suit so no excuses today.
