Ive picked out 2 Horses today Tartan Bearer - Sir Michael Stoute / Ryan Moore 6/1 Stan James Brother to 2,000 Guineas and King George winner Golan who, like another relative, the yard´s 2004 Derby winner North Light, showed vast improvement on his maiden form when winning the Dante at York; always looked like holding the renewed effort of FrozenFire after coming from last to first in that race and will not need to make much more progress to be a formidable contender. Kandahar Run - Sir Henry Cecil / Ted Durcan 16/1 Stan James Made steady progress outside Group company, but failed his most significant test when second to subsequent Lingfield Derby Trial third Campanologist on Newmarket return in April and did not have to improve to land the odds on same track following month from pair that have done nothing for form since; pedigree has to raise doubts that this longer trip will help him find the marked improvement required

Apparently, according to Big Mac, Tartan Bearer, Curtain Call and another (can't remember who he said) would've been 8l behind New Approach in the Guineas had they run. :lol The man doesn't disappoint. Day in, day out he comes out with complete balderdash. What a totally irrelevant point. a) it may not be true b) if it is, why is that a negative? He needs to be put out to grass, the man is a joke. How many punters were swayed earlier in the week when he said that runaway winner Nobel Minstrel (my BBTOD ;)) couldn't win? Some punters listen to this fool and it isn't fair to them. It comes's to something when you're the worst judge of a production team that includes Thommo and John Francome.
