kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Vindbjart - Odd Grenland There is one division between these teams. Vinbjart in the 2nd going 5-1-1 so far and has won their last 5 games. Odd on the other end is leading the Adeccoleague with a great start of their season, going 8-0-1. The difference between them is huge, but that is when morale and motivation comes to play. Seeing that Odd might fall in the underestimation-trap is rather likely tonight. For this one they would be have to travel a bit and the pitch will be filled with locals chanting for the home squad. No big info about the home team other than they look forward playing a top team in the division system in Norway. Odd has stated that some regulars will be rested. Also captain Svindal Larsen, midfielder Fevang and defender Rambekk are out injured. Many times people expect a clear win for the better team, but I am not that convinced though, especially knowing that Vindbjart will be out there "playing for their life" wanting to beat a top team. This might seem somewhat far-fetched, but stats from earlier years always says that in this round of the cup, some of the top team falls... Low stakes though, knowing the strenghts of Odds team. kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Skeid - Fredrikstad The status of this match-up is pretty like the one above. Two divisions separates the teams, Skeid fighting for promotion to the Adeccoleague while Fredrikstad is 3rd in the top division. The home team has big plans of being a team amongst the better ones after this season. They have many players with experience from levels above and want to promote. So far 4-2-1 is their status after some not so good performances. Still their coach Arild Stavrum welcomes the opportunity playing a top team today and has hopes of getting through at least with a decent result. For Fredrikstad this match comes only two days after being punished by Stabæk at home (0-3). A match they had no chance winning, even if the position at the table should tell otherwise. They will also rest some key players tonight after slight injuries and fatigue. Elyounussi, Gashi and Ophaug are those who defintely will be rested, while 1st goalie Lasse Staw is injured. Coach Grønhagen talked to the media about the danger of underestimating Skeid, but I do think the players will do that exactly knowing the difference between the teams. Skeid has a fair chance tonight, but as the pick above, low stakes... Skeid, 9.00, @betsson 1/10 Skeid +1.5/2 (Ah) 2.18 @vcbet 2/
kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Vindbjart - Odd Grenland 0-3 Skeid - Fredrikstad 2-3 1/4 tonight... Not that bad actually knowing these bets was very low stake. Still Skeid had a great opportunity nicking the victory after a goal was disallowed wrongly in the 2nd half. kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Some match-ups tomorrow with very good value as I can see. Top 2nd league teams faces struggling teams from the division above at home should count some. Many of the Adeccoleague squads has injury problems and has shown signs of resting players. Looking especially at Skarbøvik, Pors, Manglerud Star and Floy as possible winners. Need to gather some more info though first...
kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Skarbøvik - Sogndal The home team is placed in the 2nd division with a stat of 4-2-1 in total so far. At home they have an intimate stadium with alot of locals to support the team. They have not fared that good at home as expected this season, but still many teams fear visiting their stadium. Today they have no key injuries to consider and the team will be ready to fight for advancing to the next round. Sogndal on the other hand do have some problems. They struggle to work as a team and has shown many weaknesses in the Adeccoleague so far. Going 3-3-3 until now, the expected promotion contenders is already far behind the top teams. I do not have much info about their squad yet, but rumours tells me that key striker Håvard Flo will not play today. Also the loanee Kristian Brix was sent home to Vålerenga yesterday after not being capable of making the right effort. In this region of Norway Sogndal is counted as one of the best teams there is, with many teams working to battle with them, Skarbøvik being one of them. Last year Sognal travelled to Stryn in the exact same round and struggled hard (lost 1-0), and Stryn is a team like Skarbøvik. In the same region, the difference being that Stryn was a 3rd division team then, still is btw. Sensing that Skarbøvik has a real chance against a struggling Sogndal, and the price is good, very good... kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Pors Grenland - Hønefoss Another tight battle expected in the cup today when Pors faces a heavily injured Hønefoss squad. The home team is in the 2nd division, going 4-2-1 so far. The opponents has not been the best though, but still they are counted as promotion contenders. Last match they were thrashed by Asker 0-4, and played rather bad, still I see good value in this one. Pors has some quality players in Chris Joyce, Sandro Occhipinti and player/coach John Erling Kleppe. All those could get any team on this level into problems. It is difficult to find squad-info, but they had everyone avaliable for the match. That being said Asker played their best match of the season in that game. Hønefoss has as I mentioned a lot of injury worries coming into this one. Many players are out and the most important ones are away on international duties, Umaru Bangura and Alexander Dimitrijev. Also key midfielder Fritjof Seeberg was nicked in training earlier, while key striker Kaamal Saaliti serves a two-game suspension. This means that the coach have to put to new faces to the task, getting their debut for the team, Hovda and Grøterud. Important striker Konate is ready again though, but not for the whole 90 minutes yet. In the league Hønefoss has fared rather well, not expected by all, but still 4-2-2 so far is not bad at all, considering the previews. When knowing about the troubles in the Hønefoss-squad I can`t let this one go off easily, value being on the home team... In this round it is expected that all top teams will win comfortably, the only one I thought could get into trouble was Fredrikstad and they played yesterday. Well, knowing Stavanger-Viking is a local derby, and Stavanger a pretty good team it could be some action. Otherwise I think that it wont be much problems for best teams to move forward until next round...

kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Alta - Tromsdalen Alta has struggled heavily lately with 5 straight losses in the Adeccoleague. Reports talks about inner problems in the squad and players are not satisfied of how things are done in the club. The squad has shown some morale and motivation issues lately, especially in defensive part of the game. Offensive-wise there is no problems at all. With players like Alassane, Emmanuel David and Martin Norbye up front they are capable of netting in every match to come. There is also no injury worries to talk about and the best 11 will be avaliable tonight. Today they face a Tromsdalen team which has shown form lately by winning their last 5 in the 2nd division. Counted as one of the major promotion candidates this season they have started to play the way they should to make it happen. But, the division Tromsdalen is a part of is counted as one of the weakest in the system, so I am not all that surprised looking at the form they are in. Today they will miss some regulars, Sakka, Lamøy and Waage are highly doubtful. Johnsgård and Strøm are out long-termly. Alta has now a great opportunity in getting some renewed confidence playing at home against a weaker team. History-wise Tromsdalen has a good grip on the home team, but Alta is a whole different team quality-wise nowadays. Alta, with a pretty nice odds I guess, thinking around 1.60-1.65 would be in the right area... Alta, 1.90 @unibet 4/
kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Was also considering Os, Floy and/or Manglerud Star. Knowing that Haugesund and Bryne probably will field their best squads avaliable, which means some good players will be playing. Also Nybergsund and Haugesund have a tradition in the cup for doing good. Haugesund reached the final last year, while Nybergsund reach the quarter-final I am staying away from those. Reading about them wanting to repeat history and being heavily motivated for reaching as long as possible...

kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Pors Grenland - Hønefoss 3-3 Pretty lame, knowing that Pors led 2-0 with a man more after 60 minutes of play. Skarbøvik - Sogndal 1-1 The home team had a giant chance in the 87th to take it home. ET in both matches going on now. Alta - Tromsdalen 6-2 At least Alta did what they was suppose to. 1/3 today...

kimera
Re: Norway, Cup 3-8th of June. Follo - Sparta Sarpsborg Taking this one now already sensing the odds will drop even more than it already has. Thinking that it would stop around 1.70-1.75. Follo has some major injury problems at the moment. Key players are out from before (Granås, Johansson, Jahnsen, Røssevold and Ødegaard) and when key striker Maruti had to limp off in their last match against Stabæk II after 60 minutes it got even worse. He is named in the squad though, but is highly doubtful. They lost the match 0-1 which you can call an abysmal game from them, especially when I know the Stabæk team consists of juniors and some back-up players to the main squad. In the match before they lost to another weak team, Strømmen (1-2). A sudden drop of form looks highly likely. They have some players with experience, but some of them are out and when the named regulars are injured it is quite a few left. Sparta plays in the Adeccoleague, being placed in the middle as expected. Recently they have played well nicking points regularly, especially playing away. In the last 5, only 2 wins are noted, but matches have been tight and the last win against Sogndal away is a strong one. They will only rest two players for tomorrow. Striker Hoås and centre-back Berge will be at the bench, otherwise a full squad is ready to be picked from. Sparta has a very good opportunity making it through against a weakened Follo tomorrow, and the price is good in my opinion...
