Great Leighs - 05.29.08

Recommended Posts

Great Leighs 3:00 Befortyfour 30-100F LTO eased for 6L win at Lingfield (AW Debut). That was from being off for nearly 10 months so his shape for today should be improved. RP Betting Forecast as the 9-4 Favorite but I think he will be much less. His time LTO was 58.00s for 5f and that was 0.30s fast for the course and distance. Trainer M A Jarvis and jockey Philip Robinson as a combo has been profitable this season. 15 wins from 45 3yo runners on Turf and All Weather for +22.15 LSP. Only 3 wins from 11 3yo on the All Weather but the past 5 seasons count for 15 wins from 61 so the strike is very good. 10pts win @ SP Great Leighs 3:30 Berbice (BBOTD) Tried 7f on reappearance LTO but that didn't suit. Previous starts (6) was all for 6f - 3-4-1-4-3-2. Trip today is something to like alot. He's done alot better in higher prized events last season that this 7K event today. All Weather debut but a performance anywhere near where he left off last year should have him dominate. 10pts win @ SP

Re: Great Leighs - 05.29.08 4.00 Great Leighs - Art Man Gary Moore's gelding won over course and distance 21 days ago, winning a class 4 handicap. He's running of a 5 lb higher mark now and is upped to class 3 for the first time but the jockey booking of Ryan Moore is a huge plus. He's bidding for the hat-trick and looking to extend some solid form in 2008 - form figures of 11251 over this distance this year. 4.30 Great Leighs - Aromatherapy Henry Cecil's filly scored on her reappearance at the back end of last month over course and distance over what was her third career run. She beat Tableau Vivant by a length, with a further 1.25 l's back to Illusion in third. The latter gave that form a solid look by going on to score at Windsor this month although the 2nd place horse hasn't raced since. Aromatherapy placed on her debut in a Newmarket maiden and the form of that race has worked out quite well with 2nd, 4th, 5th, 9th (Jaser), 10th (St Jean Cap Ferrat) and 13th (Tajweed) all going on to win races subsequently. On her next run she finished a short head out of the places in a class 4 handicap at Redcar but Tathkar, 2nd, has run in a couple of listed races since so she was far from disgraced with that effort. She takes up handicapping off a mark of 82 here which is a little higher than previous rivals Jaser - who won on his handicap debut off 70 and progressed to win off 78 last month, and Tajweed, who has won off 71 and then 78 since he started running in handicaps. However, Cecil has been in good form of late and I think Aromatherapy could be worth a place bet at least.
