Cyathere
So a lot of us Manchester fans know about this already; but for those of you that are not aware, well, here it goes, Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has confirmed that he has been approached in order to become the new coach for the Mexico national team. Even though Eriksson is expected to leave the Citizens this summer and is thought to be weighing up quite a good number of offers, including one from one of his former clubs, (That is right) the Benfica. "I was called from Mexico. My agent is the person who analyses the contract terms; I can just say I was contacted. However, it's not the right time to make a decision. The Mexico offer is not the first proposal. It is just one more and I will study it with my people. I have nothing clear yet; my relationship with ManchesterCity is still running, we have a tour now and I will complete my commitments. Then I don't know what is going to happen. Coaching a national team is always attractive, no matter if it is Mexico, England, Sweden or any other." Said the Swede during City's post-season tour of the Far East; …what do you think? Page Ranking stunt always the same when a managers head is on the block that "other" clubs are interested in him..It's used as a if you dont want to keep him then others want him tool ;) Well, here in Mexico the rumour is pretty strong. News was first leaked by CNN en Español. My opinion? I don't know what to think. He's been succesful at a club level, not so much at National teams level (England anyone ??) but a third-world football country (with a matching organization) is surely too different to compare. F.
