Bath 7:00 Coppetbottomed Has two wins and two second placed from the last four starts. LTO was for a beaten 1/4L for 2nd of 5. Eligible to improve on that on this second turf start this season and with the extra distance from LTO should really help. 5pts ew @ SP

Re: Bath - Wednesday 14th May 7.00 Bath As usual I think the claimer is the most interesting race on the card, with regards to punting anyway. Flying Indian was well back here LTO in handicap so I'm surprised to see him line up in a claimer here. He was only narrowly beaten and although it was a weak handicap he has to enter calculations in this grade. Valhillen is the highest rated in the race on official figures and has been running consistently in better races. His 5l 3rd to Story Hill (Van Bossed 2nd) reads very well, especially at this level, and that was over 5f. He is a better horse over 6f. Has more 2nds than 1sts though and the cheekpieces are fitted here. They could make the difference. Miss Firefly is the best in with the weights as she would be giving most of these weight if it were a handicap. If you take into account the 7lb claim from the rider (who is riding ok) then she is even better weighted. She has run ok in a maiden and handicap so far this season and this is a lot easier than those two tasks. Her 2yo form however gives her an even bigger chance. She was thought good enough to run a Class 2 nursery (won by Royal Confidence), she was well beaten granted but none of her rivals have faced such stiff competition. Her other 6f 2yo form is well above claiming class. She is obviously flattered by some of that as she hasn't progressed as well as some of her previous rivals but she cannot be ignored in this grade.
