Newmarket 2.40: Galactic Star WIN Progressed last year winning 3 on the bounce culminating in a victory over this course and distance in Oct at listed level. Then was well beaten at group level later that month but soft ground could be held to blame for that disappointment. Ground conditions in favour today, stable 2 out of 3 here yesterday so selected to maintain progress to become group winner today. :hope

Re: Best Bet of the Day - Sunday 4th May Newmarket 2.40 GALACTIC STAR Win Stoute's string are in great form & yet another group horse in the making is Galactic Star. Has ran here twice & finished 1st & 2nd. Finished off last season disappointing in a group 3 at Newbury but it was soft that day & its best form has come on a faster surface. Has Arc 4th Getaway in the race which if reproducing that effort would be hard to beat. This would be Getaways minimum trip & might prefer it slightly easier to produce more of a stamina test.
