2.40 - Cap St Jean - disappointing last time out when sent off the 4/1f at Wolverhampton but prior to that had been knocking on the door by placing four times at Wolverhampton, including a 0.5 length second off a 1 lb higher mark when dropped back to 7f (as is the case here). If that last run can be excused then it could easily be involved each-way 9/1 providing it can carry its form onto the sand. It has run here at the start of its career and was disappointing, however, those four efforts at Wolverhampton suggest he has come on since then. 3.15 - Lady Pilot - been kept fresh over hurdles and won off 100 in that sphere. Showed itself to be a good AW runner though too last season when notching up a hat-trick (including two here).Trip poses no problems whatsoever the question is whether he can cope with the 5 lb increase in the handicap from its last AW run. It won under a penalty LTO and partnered with a jockey who he gets on with I think he can score here too. (7/4 Skybet) 3.50 - Kensington (2/1 Betfred) -bids for a hat-trick of CD wins today and won LTO on the turf at Windsor, holding on at the end to repel the advances of the useful Saville's Delight who went on to score at the same course yesterday. Goes under a penalty today for that win but clearly in good heart and should be given a good ride by the able Neil Callan.

Re: Southwell 22/4/08 2.40 Southwell. Shot To Fame. Lay. (Racing Post SP 3/1). Has the back form to win this well, but not the force of old and in what seems dramatic decline at the moment. Not the biggest surprise to see him boune back, but did look poor last time and out of love with the game. Several live dangers give us ammuntion against him, so at 3/1 it's a lay much more than a play for mine. If he goes and wins, then fair play to him.
