Racing's Most Annoying Sayings

What sayings about our game really grate you? For me they most are annoying are the ones said with great authority which actually are totally wide of the mark. They are; "favourite backers off to a flyer" - is there anyone out there that backs EVERY favourite? I know a few blokes which love anything under evens but commentators say this when the 5/1 handicap jolly goes in. The sort of favourite backers I know don't touch handicaps. PS they do their dough all the time. "the horse doesn't know the price" - someone will always say this when you've voiced concerns regarding a massive drifter. I know the horse doesn't know, but that is NOTHING to do with it. If something drifts alarmingly sometimes we know things are wrong. Vibes are poor due to perhaps fitness or some other factor. The horse may not know, but the trainer and bookies contacts do. "over to Thommo (or "The Cat" ) for commentary" - Just means you're going to get poor racing reading, and horses not getting mentioned despite going well/making a challenge/being 5 clear. Hit the mute button. The Cat is the nickname of Mike Cattermole by the way, I have my own nickname for him. Hundreds more no doubt.
