6.20 - Prince Valentine (2/1) looks the most likely winner, as the betting suggests. Has winning form over a mile and is in good nick, finished 1.75 and 0.31 off the winner when 2nd and 3rd here recently. Only If I laugh (10/3) could be the threat and has been running respectively in defeat for jockey Mongan. The latter has been in and around the places off 45 at this course but it looks less guaranteed to see out the mile than Prince Valentine. 90 % stake Prince Valentine 10 % stake Only if I laugh 7.20 - I can see Nice Wee Girl going well here at 9/2. Placed a couple of times at this level on the AW and races off its lowest mark since it started handicapping. Lowry's Art heads the market and won over distance last time out at Warwick. It has only ran once on the AW, when 4/13 off 67 here. Races off 63 today (up 3 lbs from last win) and looks a serious contender also 50 % stake Nice Wee Girl 50 % stake Lowry's Art 8.20 - the two main contenders for this race are Boz, prolific last season racking up the five-timer, and Safari Sundowner, who has been winning on the AW with some consistency, albeit at shorter distances. However, with both of those priced at under 2/1 I'm going to try my luck with Pearl (EW 18/1). Pearl is a CD winner who is most effective over this trip (form over 10f-12f reads 22131). Ted Durcan's mount may have been a flop over hurdles but at least she has been running this season which may give her a slight edge over others in the field and back at her optimum trip she may go well at a price. 9.20 - With doubts as to whether Marmooq is suited to the drop in trip a suitable alternative looks to be Suhayl Star (7/1). The latter has produced a couple of good efforts over 6f in the last couple of months and looks to be running off a decent mark. It is rated 47 for this but was only denied by a short head running off 50 over this distance a few runs back.

Re: Kempton - 9/4/08 7.20 BYE BYE BUNTING trappy contest, beaten by decent sort lto in lingfield maiden, finishing 4th, the subsequent winner of that race won good h'cap race on saturday, so the form could work out here. 8.50 GREYSTOKE PRINCE made a note of this one when it finished second to the impressive Mark Johnston horse, Thebes. If it can replicate anything near that effort in this contest then it will be difficult to stop. Gets 7f nicely. Player. GL.:ok
