Hold Up Horses

Recommended Posts

What's all the fuss about? Why do people favour these hold up types? Personally, I favour prominent racers although it does depend on the bias of hold up vs prominent as that gives an indication of the likely pace, etc. I find that horses finish like a train and just fail to get up go off at a false price nto and they end up being a fav to oppose. Why do they get so far behind? Are they actually quickening at the end of their race or is it just that the leaders are slowing down? Would be interested to hear the views of others:ok

Re: Hold Up Horses Reading Jon Gibby at the moment (cheers for the reccomendation!) and touches on some some similar points. From a purely spectating point of view, it is an awesome sight to see a horse go from last to first (or even mid div to first). I can always remember Rock of Gibraltar doign being held up and then been unleashed. :eek
