No AW racing on a Sunday again...arghhhh!! 2.40 - Bronson F'Sure - this one is around 9/1 at the minute but has conditions to suit today. Both times it has raced on Gd/Frm ground it has won, including over CD last year. However, it must put behind it three poor runs in its last three races, where it has unplaced on each occassion and never been closer than 23 lengths from the winner. For that reason I'm putting minimum stakes on this one in the hope that those last two runs can be excused by a combination of unsuitable ground and class. One of those races was contested against Jack the Giant, Fundamentalist and Butler's Cabin, and there isn't anything like that in the field here. 3.40 - Gee Dee - the reason I am backing this one is because I am a fan of Sue Smith (who trains locally to me) and Tjade Collier (who in my opinion is worth his 5 lb allowance). This one has started out well hurdling, and was second by a neck at Catterick (on Gd/Frm) before following up with a cosy 7 length win at Market Rasen last time out. Currently around 4/1. 4.40 - Wizards Dust - stable will be looking to bounce back from their Grand National disappointment yesterday with Cloudy Lane and this one landed a gamble last time when it was backed in from 12/1 to 11/2. Won by 9 lengths last time on Gd, Gd/Frm ground and even though risen 8 lbs in the handicap could be worth a shot at 7/1.
