Re: Wolverhampton 17/03 2.00 - Northern Desert - won over CD and class last time out under the useful Kristy Milczarek (without her today though). OR gone up from 84 to 85 for this after a 3/4 length win in that race, although not entirely sure what to expect as this is an apprentices race. In the last 30 days 3 out of the 4 runners for this trainer have won at Wolv. 2.30 - Blue Sky Thinking - won over CD and class in May 07 on penultimate run. Returning from a break here though and last run was in June last year when comfortably beaten at Carlisle. At 74 is the highest rated horse in the field, and notched up a hat-trick of wins of a mark of 80 last year so seems to have a decent chance if can find that form once more. 3.00 - Climate - well beaten when upped to class 5 LTO but prior to that recorded a CD win at class (with Golden Spectrum, who gave 1lb, well behind). Raised another 4lb for this but jockey takes of 7lbs. Only a tentative pick though as trainer is without a winner in last 14 days. Only having small bets on these three, mind, as my method of making selections (CD winners with win at the same class as race in question in last three runs) didn't fare too great last week unless the horse went off at odds on. Unlikely any of these will be odds on, but all are currently around 3/1 - 4/1.
