Mr Wall
Should be interesting. Super 14's is back to entertain my saturday mornings before playing... If I get up in time! And with the international break the magners league bounces back into action as well. Going for an accumulator on this one First Scarlets vs Glasgow. Form for both is pathetic with the Scarlets yet to win this year and Glasgow having lost their last 3. Both teams are missing pivitol internationals, especially at 10. But for me this is where teh difference comes. Preistland for teh scarlets has shown he is a great emerging talent, and with Evans and especially king outside him he has knowledgeable players who can guide him through. The back 3 of Stoddart, Watktins and the old warhorse James should be good enough to finish off teh space king will give them Parks is vital for teh glasgow game plan with both his kicking and and defensive organisation, there is no henderson and they are also benching De luca... resting centres against players as classy as king is always a worry. Up front should be fairly even, perhaps swung glasgows way a bit, but much as with Wales - if the Scarlets can get as little as 40% ball they should have enough to see this home Scarlets win Sharks vs Western Force Always hate predicting first game of the season as they can often be a lottery but scanning the 2 line ups I find it hard to imagine anything but a Sharks win, especially at home. They have been hit by losses of influential players to europe (achmit, montgomery and butch james) but they are still much teh same team that were inches from winning the whole thing last season and have a pack to rival most others. There are some very good players in the Force team, especially in th backline where the unbelievably talented and versatile Giteau stars so it will be no walkover. Bit harmony is not what it should be with Henjak breaking Sares jaw in a bar brawl... always good preperation! Sharks to win Double on those 2 pays @1.48 with William Hill. Not great odds but these are the 2 that I just don't see any upsets happening. For those that prefer higher odds I would be tempted by backing the Sharks to beat the handicap of -10 And a gut feeling, based on little more than the personel they have lost, is for the Blues to lose to the chiefs - they have lost Ali Williams, Luke McCallister, Howlett, Tuitupou and Rawlinson to Europe... so will hardly be a settled side. Still arguing with myself on this one though as Nick Evans is a huge talent at 10 and the Blues are home. i suspect that it will be the Blues by 4 but the odds on a chiefs win seem longer than they should.
