Beef or Salmon and The Grand National.

I think it's absolutely disgraceful that connections of this horse have decided to run him in the Grand National at the age of 12. The horse has been a wonderful servant and they've rewarded this by putting him in the toughest jumps race of them all carrying top weight. The race has been known to absolutely ruin horses and even though Beef or Salmon is at the end of his career I feel that running him in this is totally unjustified. If he does run I hope he comes out in one piece and then sent off to graze in green pastures.

Re: Beef or Salmon and The Grand National. I see where you are coming from but the horse obviously enjoys his racing. As you say he has been such a great servant and connections wouldnt run him if they think he would not enjoy it. If the horse shows any signs of weaknesses it will be withdrawn.
