Re: Euro hockey leagues 11/2 Rögle - Björklöven In swedish allsvenskan the fight is on for the tops spots and this is clearly one of those. The home team being in 3rd has slumped somewhat the recent games, going 2-3-0 the last 5. In their last match they trailed 3-1 against Almtuna, but fought back hard and came out as winners in the regulation (4-3). A win that definitely should have given their motivation a clear boost looking at the rest of the campaign. Since the game the LG hockey games have been arranged and teams have gotten a well-needed break. In the tournament their most important player, D-man Kenny Jönsson, was named the best D and also on the all-star team in the tourney. He will jump right from that one, to this important league match-up, and there is no doubt that he is in his best form this season at the moment. Injury-wise, Rögle only has one player out, and will field the best squad avaliable today. At home 12-0-0-0-6 says clearly that it is at their own rink they take most of their points. Björklöven has showed good form lately. Going 5-2-0 the last 7 is rather good, but if they should be able to fight for the 3rd place it should be like that all the time. Being in 4th, this one is very important for them, and they sure will give a huge fight for the points. In their last 7 though, both losses has come when playing away and the oppsition in those has not been the best (Bofors & Sundsvall). The league in general has much varied quality in the teams, looking at the table there is 23 pts. that divides 4th from 8th position. A stat which is important looking at the opposition. In total, 9-0-1-1-8, Björklöven has when visiting. A pretty even stat, but not good enough if they want to fight for spots above. Injury-wise they will miss 3 regulars tonight, one which I rate as important. In the latest "streak" they have gotten some very good goaltending, Tobais Lundström, averaging 1 goal per game against the last 6. Being without a proper 2nd goalie they definetely want him to continue contributing. I do believe the little break has done the home team some good getting back to business. For the visitors it could not had come on a worse time, being pretty hot recently. Rögle has a perfect opportunity getting some distance from Björklöven today... Pick: Rögle, Str. 1.95 @betsson 3/10
