Ludlow 6/2/08 - 30 mins delay

Recommended Posts

1.40 Pebrock 7.5 pts e.w Won a bumper in todays conditions and put up reasonable effort on hurdling debut when just third beaten by a decent looking sort and although the form of that race perhaps has not quite worked out, that sets a standard that would not completely put it out of the picture for this, considering likely improvement and ability to handle the softer surface. 2.40 Nakoma 15 pts This one is four pounds well in today on the back of a fast closing second lto at the track. That was over 2m that day and the way it made late progess staying on having orignially been outpaced suggested a return to 2m 5f would suit and if it was to get that sort of trip, Ludlow is not a bad place to get it. It creeps in at the bottom today and although no stand out form on soft, it ran well enough on good to soft lto and it needs to be respected for the trainer who likes his runners at the track and in these colours. 4.50 Orphelin Collonges 15 pts Rock All must be quite well thought of with its Cheltenham options but it needs to improve on its debut and quickly and this one I prefer especially on its first hurdle run. It looked like the winner that day before a fall at the last in a race that has provided future winners and then lto in soft conditions was only fourth but the first and third that day have gone onto run good races in better company to provide some boost to that form and a good chance tomorrow.

Re: Ludlow 6/2/08 1.40 major suspect no massive word for this, but i have been following the bumper form it came 5th in at aintree in october. the race has thrown up numerous winners down to 8th place, and looked a pretty good contest for this type of race. major suspect has been declared for 4 or 5 races since, and been taken out at the overnight stage for whatever reason. tomorrow, they have booked mr richard johnson no less(mowgli's favourite jockey lol). trainer henry daly has had 2 winners and a 2nd in the last 14 days from 8 runners, and as we all know johnson had a cracking day at musselburgh with 3 winners and a 2nd from 6 rides. so plenty of positives, if the beast has taken to hurdling, and go's on the softer ground then it should be a pretty decent each way bet, especially if the real betting mirrors the rpf of 16/1. early betfair price 10.5.... best of luck tish
