Re: ATR Review - February Fri 1st Feb Best Bet of the Day A slow start to the month, with just 2 positive returns from the 10 bets placed today. Mileni, December's winner, made a great start in his attempt to regain his crown with a 7/2 winning bet, advised EW, in Rightway Star, turning over the odds on jolly. The only other scorer was Ironstoney, who made small profit by backing 10/1 2nd Mambazo, again EW. This horse was over 5L clear turning for home and was only caught close home, so possibly a shade unlucky not to be sat on a big priced winner. 20% strike rate Catterick A profit in here with Mileni just putting up his 1 BBotD in Rightway Star, winning at 7/2. He also had a whisper based on trainer form for Never Ask but was just out of luck finishing 4th at 11/1. It wasn't advised as a bet though. Chepstow The ground was a huge factor with some really big priced horses finishing in the money. This was bad news for PL members, with no returns from 5, with Carl, Mileni and TheRat all unable to trouble the judge, the closest coming when Royal Darling finished 2nd at a shade of odds on. Kempton Just the 2 horses tipped up in here, both coming in the 8.50. Both Alexmac and FriskyFitz were on EW on Desert Light, but it finished just outside the money in 4th at 13/2. However, Alexmac did tip the winner up with Littledodayno obliging at a very nice price of 10/3. Profit in here too. Wolverhampton No bets posted in this thread.
