Fortunate Isle 1.40 Huntingdon Won a Class 3 handicap at Pontefract on heavy ground in April 06 and went well on the ground. Won on soft in June 07, class 3 handicap again. Decent enough horse, moved from Hills to Fahey. Record in maiden hurdles reads 3rd, 3rd, 2nd and the 2nd was last time out, 26 days ago, beaten favourite. All these hurdle races were over 2m. It can finally win one, again over 2m and main danger will be Hitaaf. LouLou Nivernais 2.40 Huntingdon Won 4 in a row last year, 2 at class 3 and 2 at class 4 and looked to be going places over jumps. Those 4 wins were on heavy (x3) and soft (x1). Distances for the wins were 21f, 23f, 23f, 20f. Fell at Wetherby, went back to hurdles and was 2nd in a class 4 handicap hurdle on good ground. Comeback run this season was 10th of 15 over 24f but faded only in final 3f so drop back to 2m5f may suit and will definitely go on the ground. Should have ew claims at least, if not even winning. Antonius Caesar 3.10 Huntingdon Best French form on soft ground, 2^nd at Market Rasen on good to soft and won last time out on heavy. That was a 3-runner affair but it won it by 6 lengths and may improve again on this type of ground. That was a course and distance win on heavy at class 3 and should be capable of following up in a similar event. Was 7l in front of Le Briar Soul before and can confirm that form.

Re: Huntingdon 23/01/08 2.40 Loulou Nivernais won 4 at this time last year over fences & races off its hurdle mark of 32lb lower. Handles the ground really well & over this sort of distance is 3 from 3. Will be intersting how they price up the race as any EP over 16/1 should be taken as value bet EW.
