Ok, anything can go in here, relevant or not!! Cheltenham Paul Nicholls will enjoy success again in the Gold cup. That was the easy bit! A shock placing at big odds will divide the front 2 in the betting though! In the Champion Hurdle, a horse not seen out this season yet will win the race. Its a muddling affair this year & i think it is there for the taking. David Pipe will challenge Nicholls & King for the Cheltenham trainers title There will be a 100/1 winner at the meeting. Generally Timmy Murphy will split from David Johnson & may give up the game. After years of not winning it, Dettori wins the Derby for the 2nd time, this time with Godolphin. Ryan Moore wins the flat title by a country mile with 200+ wins.

Re: Racing Predictions for 2008 Cheltenham The champion hurdle will be won by an outsider of 16/1+ despite Harchibald cruising like he is going to win by 10 lengths on the bridle. Prior to the race there will be at least 3 different ante post favorites. Twist Magic will win the Champion Chase. Kauto Star will win the Gold Cup. Ferdy murphy will train a big priced winner of a handicap at the festival. Unfortunately the second last at Cheltenham will claim some victims. Aintree The Grand National Winner will not be trained in Ireland. Other N/H Paul Nicholls will be Champion trainer. AP McCoy will be Champion jockey. Hobbs will promote Tom O' Brien as stable jockey ahead of Richard Johnson. Flat New Approach will win the Derby, not sure about the 2000 Guineas. Extremely promising two year olds will join Goldophin and turn into three year old flops after Goldophin send them to Dubai. Ryan Moore will be Champion Jockey. Aiden O Brien will constantly mislead punters and also run his best horse of the year so many times that it ends the season with disappointing defeats.

Re: Racing Predictions for 2008 Cheltenham Voy pur Ustades to upset Twist Magic in the Champion Chase. Inglis drever to win the World Hurdle. Kauto Star to win the Gold Cup. Monet's Garden to win The RyanAir. Aran Concerto to have a big impact whatever race he's entered in. Aintree I think that Exotic Dancer could well run in the Grand national, a class horse and a dour stayer. Flat Ryan Moore champion jockey, and Kieron Fallon to be sacked by O'Brien or part on amicable terms. Ibn Khaldun to win the 2000 guineas.

Re: Racing Predictions for 2008 CHELTENHAM Should be a cracking meet, as ever. OSANA will go close in the Champion Hurdle, as will NEVADA ROYALE in the Royal an Sun Alliance. INGLIS DREVER looks nailed on for the World Hurdle, and KAUTO STAR looks like having too much for Denman IMO. FLAT I reckon Godolphin could have a cracking year. IBN KHALDUN looks like a Derby type of horse, so Frankie could follow up this year's success with Authorized. NEW APPROACH looks the read deal, and will surely bag either the Guineas or the Derby. At Royal Ascot, can anyone see past YEATS to win yet another Gold Cup...? GENERAL I will be seen at loads of racemeetings! Especially at Newbury, where I have just become a member!

Just to add one more in the Gold Cup at Ascot I think Septimus is the one that is being groomed by O'Brien to take over from Yeats and win the Gold Cup. We will see.

Re: Racing Predictions for 2008 Cheltenham to swap the Old Course chase track with the New Course hurdle track, after yet more fallers / fatalities at the 2nd last. AP McCoy to anounce he will ride freelance in 08/09. Murphy to split with Johnson. Thomas to take over from Walsh as Nicholls main mid-week jockey. Nicky Henderson to retire (along with Micky Fitz) and be replaced at Seven Barrows by C. Longsdon. O'Regan to move from Graeham Wylies team to Seven Barrows. Tom O'Brien to get a top job. Dr. Newland to give up his GP practice to become a top trainer (o.k. that might take a few years). William Buik to get stable jockeys job for Andrew Balding. Newmarket to have a false rail until the 2 furlong marker, to lesson the chances of horses being unlucky in running (in Guineas). Saed Bin Surroor to anounce he is to quit as Godolphins British trainer and be replaced by Mark Johnston. Hughie Morrison to (correctly) object to the Australians using steroids to "aid their journey" over. Australians to refuse to come over because of new changes to the rules. Aiden O'Brien to say "this horse shows so much speed", about every horse in his yard. "Timeform" Jim McGrath to become head of the HRA (BHB, HRB, or whatever it is called these days). May be that is just wishful thinking. Tom Segal to anounce he is to quit as Pricewise and be replaced by Gingertipster. It will happen some day!

Re: Racing Predictions for 2008 Afsoun causes an upset in the Champion Hurdle after being fitted with ear plugs, after a suggestion made by Gingertipster to the trainer. Osana and Sizzing Europe are placed. The usual lottery takes place at the 2nd last in the Arkle. Twist Magic wins Champion Chase with ease (unless MWDS runs). My Way De Solzen comes back to win the Festival Chase (unless he wins the Champion). Blaizing Bailey, Wicheta Lineman and Inglis Drever fight out the Stayers Hurdle. Celestial Halo wins the Triumph as Fanchoek disappoints on good ground. Exotic Dancer splits the Nicholls pair in the Gold Cup. John Gosden wins at least two classics with Ravens Pass and Sense Of Joy. New Approach fails to stay in the Derby where Henry Cecil is in the first three home. Aiden O'Brien doesn't have a British classic winner until having a 1-2-3 in the Leger. Peeping Fawn is star of the early season before picking up an injury on firm ground and is retired.
