Re: 2.00 Southwell Hello mate , you certainly seem to have rocked the boat in ATR and i'm still wondering if you'll prove to be a 'wind-up merchant' or a genuine contributor . However i have an open mind so here's my tuppence worth. 1- FLAME CREEK - Has a good chance even as an 11y-old , Relatively lightly raced for it's age [ 33 runs ]and is on a mark 1lb below it's highest winning mark. C/D and class of race should not be a worry. Definately a contender. 2- JACKIE KIELY - 2lb higher than its top winning amrk and it's one and only win over the distance was what turned out to be a 3f sprint [ according to RP ] after a slow run start 3- THREE BOARS - Off a mark 5lb below it's last winning rating and with the Trainer having trained a couple of winners in the past 2 weeks [ the only one in this race to have had a winner in that period ] it seems to have a chance at the weights . It's last outing was in a class 4 event , a grade in which it has never been placed , so we'll assume that was to get the handicap mark down ?? C/D no problem. 4- YOUNG SCOTTON - Doubts over the whether the course will suit as it's only win on the AW was at WOLVES and has never won at Class 5 level Also it is 6lb higher than it's last win. 5- VICTORY QUEST - Never won at 1m6f since back in FEB 2004 and done most of it's running/winning over further .Is 5lb lower than it's last winning mark however. 6 - WELCOME CAT - Could be the fly in the ointment ! An ex-French horse the distance should not be a problem as it has won at 15f and been racing on the AW surface over there [ don't know how that transfers to the surfaces over here] 7- WINTER LANE - Complete no-hoper on all known form. [alledgedly :lol] So , yes , i think THREE BOARS could be involved in the finish if trying as is it on winning mark and the Stable is in form. FLAME CREEK + WELCOME CAT could be the dangers imo.
