GaF
Ok - a "challenge" - I'm pretty certain it can be done quite well, but dont know the answer. Fabricate a Heads Up hand against an opponent where, knowing his cards, you are 50% pre flop, devise a flop that comes down, where you are still 50%/50% and a turn where it is still a flip..... How do we work out which answer is closest? Add up the differences from 50%. So for example, Pre flop you are 51%, post flop you are 53% and on the turn you are 45%, the sum of the difference would be (53-50) + (51-50) + (50-45) = 9% - obviously the smaller the number the better.... bigphil2
Re: Poker trivia question I was thinking something similar at first, but that's not 50-50 as it's 100% split pot on the flop I believe, so actually 0% to each player not 50%

slapdash
Re: Poker trivia question Ok - new condition - the hand must be won at the showdown - no split pots ;) Could you clarify this a bit? Do you mean that by the turn it should be impossible for there to be a split pot? And do the pre-flop and flop percentages include the equity from a split pot? GaF
Re: Poker trivia question No - I mean that an outright winner should be a possibility (unless you find a way around that again :tongue2) Yes, split pot equity is included I think....
