Jonesy Knows Saturday Pick n' Mix

Rhapsilian 12.05 Lingfield @4.00 Betfred I tipped this one up last time when it was ridden very strangely! When it won the time before last over course and distance it came with a late swooping run and won going away in a decent time. It looked like a horse to follow however the same Jockey (K May) decided last time out over a furlong further to expend all it's energy towards the front and could not utilise this horse's finishing kick that it had showed to devastating effect the time before! Today the stable aren't messing about and have got rid of May and have Jimmy Fortune aboard. Some may say that there is no chance at the weights against Ever Cheerful as it beat it last time and has a weight advantage as well into the bargain! However believe me this horse is capable of a lot better than it showed last time and I envisage it will take this and move onto bigger and better races! Seven Is My Number 3.30 Ascot @2.63 Sporting Odds An unusual combination together here! Mick Fitz riding for David Pipe! This has to be a hint in itself! Trainer has described him as a ´´nervy sort´´ who found the occasion too much when disappointing at Newbury in February; the preliminaries will clearly be important but debut defeat of two previous winners in C&D bumper last December gives him leading chance on form, if he doesn´t blow it beforehand. Pipe feels the silky skills of Fitz will settle this horse and I'm willing to take it! Call The Shots 3.45 Haydock @4.50 Bet365 Jonjo's NH Flat racers having been doing well and this one has the profile to like the ground being by Supreme Leader / Phardante - it's owned by John Magnier and is ridden by his son who has a really good record for Jonjo in Flat races 5 wins from 7 rides in NH Flat races over the last 5 seasons. Jonjo has a good strike rate of 4 wins from 13 runners at the track! Danger: Major Malarkey who is also by Supreme Leader and trained by Twiston-Davies, however Twiston-Davies's NH Flat racers have not been doing too well lately! Gauvain 1.25 @3.00 Paddypower I'm taking the likely Favourite on here Rajeh, who I think won't like the ground! Gauvain has proven form in soft ground and looks like it could go places in it's 2nd season. Looking at the field I can't see any real dangers who will like softish ground. Gauvain a dual winner on Flat in Germany and acquitted himself well all three starts over hurdles early in year for new yard, upped to 2m5f at Newbury on final start in March; looks sure to win races. :ok
